Ferguson lifts lid on life at United

The boss: Fergie has opened up about life at Old Trafford
Sir Alex Ferguson has lifted the lid on his glittering 26-year reign at Manchester United and given a unique insight into what made him so successful, writes David McDonnell in the Daily Mirror.
The former United boss addresses the issue of his legendary temper, and revealed why he would lose it with his players and give them a blast of what became know as “the hairdryer” whenever they under-performed.
“I always wanted to get it off my chest, out of my system and kick on from there,” said Ferguson. “What I said to them remained in the dressing-room.
“I could be really angry, I could be volatile, but then it was over, and the players knew that. I never brought it up again and I never held a grudge, ever in my life.
“Sometimes I would lose my temper when we’d won. The real reason for losing your temper is because of expectation. I could never envisage us losing a game."
